HUMAN RESOURCES SUPERVISOR

JOB SUMMARY: Metalcraft Technologies (MTI) is looking for a Human Resources (HR) Supervisor to support the Human Resources Department at MTI.  The HR Department is part of the Business Systems Division at MTI and is the supporting department for all employees at MTI

This position reports directly to the HR Manager and provides administrative support in various human resources functions including, but not limited to, recruitment, employee on-boarding, and benefits administration.  This position is focused primarily on administrative and generalist human resource functions. The HR Supervisor functions as a resource to the Human Resources department and is the front line for providing customer service to employees, future employees, customers and management. The HR Supervisor must have very strong organizational skills, the ability to keep employee information confidential, multi-tasking skills and have strong computer skills.

This position is full-time.  The hours are flexible between 7am-6pm Monday - Friday.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Conducts new hire paperwork and benefits enrollment for new employees
  • Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains current forms
  • Conducts audits of benefits or other HR programs and recommends any corrective action
  • Updates HR spreadsheets and databases with employee change requests and processes paperwork
  • Assists with processing of termination paperwork
  • Assists HR Manager with various research projects and/or special projects
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process
  • Schedules meetings, interviews, and reference checks as requested by HR Manager
  • Attend and conduct interviews with production managers 
  • Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions
  • Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files
  • Assists or prepares correspondence
  • Prepares new employee files
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Computer knowledge in Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable with multiple databases and benefit web portals
  • General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, computer
  • Good visual acuity and ability to communicate
  • Adheres to the company's Standards of Business Conduct
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at a time
  • Approachable demeanor and refined customer service skills
  • Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Adaptability and ability work under stressful circumstances at times

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 3+ years administrative responsibilities in an office type setting required.  Previous experience in Human Resources and/or Benefits administration preferred. Experience or background in a manufacturing industry helpful.

EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS: G.E.D. equivalent or higher.  Associates and/or Bachelor degree in Personnel Administration, Human Resources, or Business Administration a plus.
