Metalcraft Technologies is a full-service, vertically integrated, aerospace components manufacturer in Cedar City, UT. We fabricate sheet metal parts, machine precision parts, process/finish parts, and build both major and minor assemblies.


The Engineering Clerk will maintain the engineering environment by printing, organizing, filing, and performing special projects such as data entry, document control and other office related work. 



  • Collects and compiles blueprints, change orders, and other engineering data from quoting folder. Downloads updated data from customer portals in preparation for build packet creation.
  • Creates & maintains digital master files containing detailed parts information, like complete print set, revision history records, and associated historical data. Highlight part specific information within .pdf documents.
  • Request/Order all associated mylars, tooling, & models from the customer in preparation for any engineering activity.
  • Translates native CATIA .iges, .step, .dxf files into NX format in preparation for engineering modeling activity.
  • Digitize customer supplied mylars using AutoCAD in preparation for subsequent engineering activity.
  • Receives, records/logs, and locates MTI produced mylars as well as customer supplied mylars.
  • Maintain office filing and storage systems.
  • Assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, and collating.
  • Perform errands that assist daily engineering and project management functions.
  • Run engineering data reports including output, planned orders, zero run time, work orders without material, orders without engineering masters, etc. and distribute information to the appropriate source for action.
  • Implement document control in PLM system for existing data.


  • Exceptional verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Able to manage multitask work in a strong-paced environment.
  • Able to work alone on a broad variety of projects.
  • Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work.
  • Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to dust and temperature conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually significant (ear plugs provided).


  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 6 months - 1 year relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CAD experience a plus but is not required
